Reactor Resources helps our clients produce high quality Hydrocarbon Fuels, Renewable Fuels, and Petrochemicals. We are not satisfied with being a "me-too" type of company. The development of our patented SmartSkid Injection System, Online H2S Analyzer System, Total Sulfur Analzyer System, and Hydrogen Purity Analyzer illustrates the type of "outside the box" thinking that we provide. With these systems, we can deliver the safest, most accurate, and most cost efficeient catalyst sulfiding services available.
Our latest patented innovation is the use of MDEA to replace ammonia during startups with hyperactive hydrocracking and renewable fuels catalysts. Once introduced to the reactor, MDEA decomposes to form ammonia that will then moderate the activity of highly acidic catalysts. With a Health Hazard Rating of 1 (the lowest rating), MDEA is much safer to use and easier to handle than ammonia (Health Hazard Rating of 3) or tri-butyl amine (TBA) (Health Hazard Rating of 3). We also have an Online pH Analyzer System available for measuring the pH of water coming from the separator boot. With precise pH data, the addition of nitrogen compounds can be precisely controlled.
Since forming Reactor Resources (RxR) in 2011, our goal has been to provide the absolute best catalyst sulfiding services and sulfur products to the refining and petrochemical industries. In our first year, we partnered with ChevronPhillips Chemical Company to supply Dimethyl Sulfide (DMS) to ethylene producers for passivating steam cracker furnace tubes. In 2012, RxR designed and built our first patented SmartSkid™ Injection System, bringing the sulfiding process into the 21st century. In addition, we introduced the concept of utilizing an Online H2S Analyzer in place of pulling draeger tubes to measure the H2S gas concentration during catalyst sulfiding. That year we also began supplying Dimethyl Disulfide (DMDS) and completed our first in-situ sulfiding projects. And we added an Inline Hydrogen Analyzer to our portfolio of gas analyzers in 2014.
Since the beginning, our personnel and systems have been used to help clients successfully sulfide over 500 hydrotreating, hydrocracking, and renewable fuel units with DMDS and/or TBPS 454. In 2017, Reactor Resources began offering our chemicals and service package to customers in Europe and the Middle East from our office/shop in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. And in 2018, we acquired Actisulf SAS of Tarbes, France, a leader is specialized catalyst activation services. This acquisition enables us to provide even more first-class service to clients in Europe and the Middle East.
