Safety Information
At Reactor Resources, safety is our paramount concern, and the protection of our personnel is our top priority. Each of our employees recognizes their authority and responsibility to halt any work or process that cannot be conducted safely. As a testament to this commitment, in 2021, Reactor Resources celebrated a decade of operations without a single lost-time accident. This remarkable achievement is a direct result of the unwavering dedication of our technicians to prioritizing safety at all times.
All of our technicians possess comprehensive safety certifications, including HASC Safety Essentials (SE-SAFE) and Cal/OSHA Refinery Safety Training. Furthermore, we consistently conduct refresher training sessions for our operations personnel on injection pump operations, chemical handling, H2S hazards, and emergency protocols. These measures ensure that our personnel remain abreast of the latest HSE enhancements and prioritize safety at the forefront of our organization.
Furthermore, Reactor Resources has developed specialized systems designed to mitigate the safety hazards associated with catalyst sulfiding. Notably, our Online H2S Analyzer System, Hydrogen Purity Analyzer, and Total Sulfur Analyzer represent the most reliable and precise methods available for measuring hazardous H2S in refinery gas streams. By employing our online Analyzer Systems, operators are no longer required to wear breathing air (SCBA) when utilizing colorimetric (Draeger) tubes to sample hazardous sour hydrogen streams. These analyzers also provide real-time data, thereby reducing the likelihood of excessive reactor exotherms and the over-injection of sulfur and nitrogen compounds. Over-injection not only elevates the H2S concentration of the recycle gas stream to unacceptable levels but also necessitates the purging of extremely sour recycle gas, potentially leading to environmental emission concerns for your site.
Our patented SmartSkid Injection System provides additional safety measures. Each SmartSkid can be remotely operated, enabling control of the sulfur injection even during a unit evacuation. Additionally, each SmartSkid is equipped with online telemetry, which allows Operations and Engineering personnel to continuously monitor the status of the injection system and gas concentrations from any cloud-connected device.
