And we recently added injection services for Tributyl Amine (TBA) and Methyldiethanolamine (MDEA). Ammonia is often used to passivate hydrocracking catalysts after sulfiding in order to reduce the risk of exotherms. TBA is a safer alternative to ammonia injection and will decompose to form ammonia at typical sulfiding condtions. And MDEA is even safer to handle than TBA and still provides the nitrogen needed to passivate cracking catalysts. MDEA is fast becoming the product of choice for passivating cracking catalysts due to its low cost, high nitrogen density, and hazardous classification.
